Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground turkey
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 red onion, chopped
- 1 8-oz can no-salt-added tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1/4 c. BBQ sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Dash hot pepper sauce
- 4 wheat buns or rolls, split
- 4 lettuce leaves

Cooking Instructions

Combine the turkey meat, black pepper and chopped onion in a large skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring occassionally, until meat is no longer pink.

Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, BBQ sauce, chili powder and hot pepper sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes over low heat, stirring frequently.

Place a lettuce leaf on the wheat bun, and spoon one portion (1/4 of the total amount cooked) of the meat mixture onto the bun.
